Where and When:

 Arizona in 2009

I can’t believe I had my debit card number stolen. Sometimes I select wireless networks on my computer that I do not know. BIG MISTAKE! The public wireless network I selected allowed other people to see the information I was posting on the internet. So, when I logged onto my bank account to check my account balances, someone was able to steal my information! Days later I had hundreds of charges on my account that I did not make. I had to cancel my debit card and get all new numbers. Luckily, the bank covered me for the money but I was without a debit card for several days.

Bottom Line:

I will only access my bank account over a secure network.
