The Your Money – It All Add$ Up poster contest is supported by The University of Arizona’s Take Charge America Institute for Consumer Financial Education and Research and its Consumer Jungle program. Consumer Jungle, www.consumerjungle.org, is a website designed to motivate young adults to practice healthy money habits in a fresh and interactive way.
Individuals, ages 12-25, are encouraged to create a poster symbolizing what money means to them as an opportunity to educate their peers on a financial topic of their choice. The poster can be created digitally or by hand (see “Poster Creation”). The poster should illustrate what you would like to teach others about money (in a creative, visually appealing, and accurate way) on at least one (or more) of the topics outlined below:
- Savings
- Money Management
- Spending
- Financial Institutions
All posters will be uploaded to the Consumer Jungle website by April 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm PT to enter the contest. A review committee will evaluate each poster in a blind review and will select one Grand Prize winner and four Runners-Up based on the poster’s ability to educate others on at least one of the topics outlined above, creativity of the poster, visual appeal of the poster, and accuracy of the message. The Grand Prize winner (winning an iPod Nano) and up to four Runners-Up (each winning a $50 iTunes gift card) will be notified by May 11, 2012 via email and will be featured on the Consumer Jungle website.
